Cherry has been in New Zealand for over 18 months now - an export from the UK.  Cherry has managed a number of health promotion projects.  Cherry is responsible for the development of programmes designed to encourage community members to become more active.  Cherry works with community groups and providers to ensure there is a wide range of active recreation opportunities run in a sustainable way.

Dave has been involved with the Black Sox for six years, and is now assistant coach to the team.  Dave’s strengths are his strong sporting background and excellent links with the Upper Hutt community.  Focusing on club development, growth and links into community programmes, Dave helps clubs and groups grow and sustain strength. Dave will also help people in the community access local clubs.

Mark has 15 years experience in the recreation industry, ranging form managing holiday programs to outdoor education centres. During his career in recreation he has worked in North America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

As Youthtown Manager, Mark is currently working to expand Youthtown’s range of programs to cater for all of the young people of Upper Hutt to provide experiences that will assist them in becoming more active.
